I checked around with some other techs to see if they have ever heard of any way to do this. The concensus is that there is not. I'm pretty confident that there is no way to make MicroStation work this way.
Not totally correct there if you change the text attribute of the actual text element from view dependent ( the default) to view independent then no matter what zoom scale you choose the text will always remain visible at the same apparent size giving the effect of it changing scale with the zoom.. this will also print this way ie use a fence and see for yourself..this is particularly good for say permanent survey markers.. or a big x on the bottom right corner of your drawing sheet always visible no matter where you are in the design plane or scale..( you can always put this on a non print level) but handy to find the sheet when you fit all and normally only see a fly speck which often is a fly speck and not your drawing sheet…. haha

Dose MircoStation have the ability to change the size or scale of text strings as a person zooms in and out a view? With a default size for a smallest and largest viewing range.
