Hello! There was more to my last answer:
Prioritizing MicroStation Elements in a Working View:
There are 2 examples using working views
Example 1: Using a Selection Set.
1. Select an element using the selection tool.
2. Select ‘Bring to Front’ from the ‘Edit’ Pull down menu.
3. Update the View to see the change.
Example 2: Using a Key-In
Alternatively you can also use a Key-in to continuously select items until you press a ‘Reset’ to stop.
1. Open the ‘Key-in Dialog Box’ from the ‘Utilities’ menu.
2. Key in the command “order element front” and press the ‘Enter’ key to continue.
3. Select elements one at a time until you press the right mouse button ‘Reset’.
Prioritizing MicroStation Elements when Plotting:
1. Select the ‘Print Preview’ menu option from the ‘File’ menu.
2. Press the Paintbrush icon to see how your drawing is going to be printed/plotted.
3. Select the ‘PenTable’ menu and select ‘New’. Key in the name ‘demo’ as an example, and press ‘Enter’ or select ‘OK’ to
continue.
When the pen table dialog box appears. Notice the 2 tabs… The ‘Element Selection Criteria’ allows us to isolate the type of
elements we want to affect by the ‘Element Output Actions’ tab.
4. In this example we will print/plot lines that are color 6 above other elements. Identify ‘Lines’ and Color ‘6’ as the element criteria.
5. Select the ‘Element Output Actions’ Tab and check the ‘Priority’ and ‘Color’ check boxes. Identify ‘Color Index’ number 6 as
shown.
6. Save the Pen Table from the ‘File’ menu.
7. Click on the ‘Paintbrush’ preview icon to see the change
Hope that handles it all!
Love,
MicroStation Mouse :D
