I put this one to The Grand Council of MicroStation Mice and here is their answer:

"There is no measurement option for measuring area in acres directly as a
MicroStation tool or setting. With that said however, it would not be
difficult for someone to write a vba which could do this on the fly since it
is a simple matter of converting the square master unit area of a closed
element by a standard conversion factor to acres and then outputing the
result in a message field or dialog box for the user."
