One of my colleagues e-mailed to me a response to your post. He refers to you as "she". I don't know if that is appropriate or not. No offense intended. Here is what he wrote:

"She needs to set up a separate project configuration file (.pcf) for each

project. This project configuration file is created through the MicroStation

Manager. Once the project is created, MicroStation creates sub-directories

beneath the main project directory that will allow her to store the specific

files she needs, one of them is the "Symb" folder that she refers to.

When she works on a project for a different customer, selecting the project

through the MicroStation Manager automatically switches to those respective

resources."

I hope this is helpful to you.

I typically work w/ various agencies that use Microstation and have their own set of cad standards, therefore their own set resource (.rsc) files that accompany their cad standards.

My question is: when working w/ multiple .rsc files, how can I set up my seed file such that it references only specific .rsc files for that respective agency and not every other file? Currently, my "Symbology" (or symb folder) is referenced towards my local drive on my computer (by default). So everytime I work in a different project w/ different cad standards, I have to open up the symb folder on my local drive, delete the exisitng resource files in there, and copy over the new files for the project I want to work on. Then if i have to switch back to another project minutes later, i have to redo the process again.

I want to change it so that each seed file for each agency is directed towards a specifc folder w/ those .rsc files, and I dont have to keep deleting and replacing .rsc files on my local drive. But it seems like you need some computer codes or language to chage some settings or something.

If you need more specifics or details, I'm willing to share.

Let me know if you can help!
